Vehicle sat for three years.
Replaced half a tank of gas and added Stabil.
New battery. Really wants to start, but won't.

Hi,

Since it was sitting, there could be a fuel related issue even though you added the Stabil.

First, if it is possible, record it cranking with your phone so I can hear what it is doing. If you can't, we need to first check fuel pressure. If it is good, you will need to make sure the injectors are not gummed up from sitting.

If that doesn't show any problems, then we need to check for ignition spark to the plugs. The easiest thing you can try is see if it starts for a couple seconds with starting fluid and then stalls. If it does, then we know it is a fuel related issue. If it still refuses to even try starting, we need to focus on ignition issues.

Here are several links you may find helpful. If I was checking the vehicle, I would try the starting fluid first. However, here are links that show how to check fuel pressure, ignition spark, fuel injection operation and so on:

Good evening,

After 3 years, the tank has to come down, the fuel pump replaced, the lines blown out to the fuel rail and the injectors have to be replaced. The old fuel turns to gum and will not let the fuel system work correctly.
