I have a 1996 bravada oldsmobile and it dosnt want to start we thought it was the battery but is not that. I dont know anything but the basic. When I try starting the car it makes a clinking noise

So it clicks?

If that is the case try tapping on the starter while someone cranks it, if it moves then you have a frozen starter, if not check for loose or corroded battery cables on the battery, the starter relay, and the starter. If that isnt the problem replace the starter relay.
