1996 Oldsmobile Bravada Starting problems

Yes I have a 1996 Oldsmobile bravada with a v6 4wheel drive and I went to leave and it turned over once and made a poping noise like bake coppresion and then it acted like the battery was dead. But when I checked the batterys voiltage it had 13.7 voilts and my bottom hose to the radiator was loose and off it had plenty of anti frezz in it. The battery had some sparkes on both side of the battery termanals when I tight them down but not alot what could cause this.

It may have been a head gasket failure. But you said terminal ends were loose so that could as well
