Driver's side electric window doesn't work at all. When button is pushed I can hear a tink noise that sounds like it's coming from dashboard. Passenger side works perfectly. Any idea what this could be?

Have you removed the panel to check for power to the motor?

Now it's working today? I wonder if this is a sign of things to come or if it was just a one time ordeal?

Chances are there is a loose connection where it plugs into the motor or the switch. If it does happen again, remove the door panel and check that out.

Check the window switch on the drivers door. See if you are getting current to the switch. If you are getting current it may be the switch gone bad or a corroded or loose wire. Also check the window lock switch.

Driving home, all dash (radio, AC, gauges, clock, etc) and pwr windows quit working. Still drove home w/ no problem. Truck ran just fine. What do I look for? Saw no wiring disconnect under hood. Could 1 fuse cause this?

Pick one system, check the applicable fuse. Not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage. Some of those systems may use ignition feed/ the fuse circuit goes hot when you turn on the key. If those systems you listed are ignition feed, I'd have to check ignition switch.

As far as the radio and power windows, the acc delay relay is a connection. I haven't checked about the gauges.

The acc delay relay is located in the relay box, interior, behind right side kick panel. My info shows the voltage to the relay is hot all the time. Ground for the relay is controlled by the ipc/instrument panel cluster. Relay should be active when you turn on the key.

Can you have applicable codes checked, That might narrow things down? Otherwise I'm a wire chaser, check voltage and ground at the relay mentioned.

There is an "accessory delay" relay under the right side of the dash by the door hinge pillar. If this fails and the fuse is good, that's where I would look.

Hi: my passenger window is not working from any switch, in any direction. Here are the symptoms and what I have done so far.

- through testing, I find the window will go up from it's door switch, but the master switch produces no effect.

- the window is not "stuck, " it moves freely when the motor is removed.

- the motor is good, tests both directions.

- the door switch was replaced with a (used) working unit, no issues there.

- the master door switch was replaced with a (used) working unit, no difference in the issue.

So, I have ruled out a stuck window, bad motor or switch(s).

Am just not ready to bring to Ford and turn over my checkbook for them to spend hours testing the wiring. What do you think?

Brian
