Problems starting

At first the car would make a click noise when attempting to start it. Got a new starter and having the same problem the same day the brand new starter was installed. But this time no clicking sound. It started just fine about 6 times after the starter was installed. We checked the fuses and tried to jump it and still nothing. The lights on the dash come on but it won't start.

Are you sure the battery terminals are clean and tight as well as the wires on the starter? If you are, then you may have gotten a bad starter. What you need to do is check to see if there is power to the smaller wire on the starter when the key is in the start position. If there is, the starter is bad.

If there is no power and the fuses are good, check the starter relay in the under hood fuse box. See pic 1 for relay location. If there is a different relay that has the same part number, switch them to see if that makes a difference. If there isn't, here is a link that explains how to test a relay:
