Just a quick question I have a 2000 honda accord and when I'm driving and the comperssor kicks in I feel a slight pull and then a hissing sound coming from the air vents just wondering what it could be.

Hi renatoflores,

When the compressor cuts in, there is additional load on the engine so there should be a pull but it should not be very significant unless the comopressor is running heavy. In this case there is a possibility the freon has been overcharged or the compressor is failing.

The hissing noise should be pressure noise emitted from the cooling coil (evaporator) expansion valve. Either the valve is not in good condition or there is excessive pressure which could mean the freon is overcharged.

Was any repairs to the AC system carried prior to this occurring?
