Hello. I have a question about my 2000 Chrysler Neon. You see the air conditioning was recently repaired, the compressor was no good. But after the repair, the air only seems to cool when I press the brakes. When I depress them, the air stops cooling instantly. When the car is off, with only the ignition switch on, the air wont cool even if I push the brakes. Please help. Thank you. Ben

If engine is off then the AC compressor is off and no cool air should come out
so that is normal
as for no cool air when brake on
start engine turn AC on and check the compressor clutch and then ask a helper to step on brake for you
and if the compressor clutch shuts off then ask the shop where you had it replaced if they did any rewiring
good luck
