Hit tank with rubber hammer and it will start?

Replaced fuel pump 2000 miles ago I can hit tank with rubber hammer and it will start and run but will stall sometimes and die it with hammer and runs?

Hello,

It sounds like you could have a faulty fuel pump.
The pump could also have a loose connection, that's why you are able to hit the tank and get it to work.
Check the wiring that goes to the pump, make sure you do not have a loose or corroded wire. Also check for any break in the wire insulation as that could crate a short and not trigger the pump when it supposed to.
