Would like to know what would cause this truck to stop running, It will run for a short period of time and then die. You let it set for a few weeks, try to crank it again and it will crank and run again for a while. It does this on a regular Basis. We have replaced Fuel Pump and Fuel filter. Thanks

What is the fuel pressure? It should be 60-66 psi, even if you changed the pump was it the right one and done correctly. Sometimes you can mess up the wires inside the tank as they are very small. Also was there a harness about a foot long that came with the pump and it wasn't installed. Some of the trucks on those years needed that as it would give you a false indication of a bad pump. Then is the oil pressure switch ok? The oil switch keeps the pump running while the engine is so if you have low pressure or a bad wire/connectionwill cause this. Check yoru fuses in the dash as well as underhood and relay for fuel pump. I'm sending a schematic.
