Hello,
The radio works, but no power to the climate control unit. I was installing a dome light when a spark/pop sound occurred when I installed the bulb. My car was on and AC was running. The AC stopped working as well as my power windows and interior dome lights and all four door courtesy lights as well. I checked all fuses inside the car and under the hood and they are all good. Could it be a relay? Should I use a test light? Can you help me locate/fix the issue? Thanks.

Hello,

Can we confirm you have power at fuse # 30 and #23? Here is a guide and the air conditioner wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and the fuse locations as well:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

If the fuses have power and are good here is the PGM FI relay that needs to be checked.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Hi Ken,
I have used a test light and found the bad fuse that controlled the interior lights. They are back on, but the AC panel and power windows are still out. I have tested all five relays for AC, and heat with a 18 volt battery on the 86 and 87 poles, and they all clicked. I then used a test light along with the connected wires to relay poles with 18 volt battery and it lights up. How can I use a multi-meter to check continuity? Could the control panel have gone bad?
In your answer about the PGM Fi, I am not able to locate that on my v6 Accord. Please help.

I also checked the relay tips--they're clean. And the relay sockets under the hood are all clean. My car's relays are not marked. I hope this helps.

Fuses 2, 3 5, and 6 did not light up w/test light. But those are for headlights, which all work. They are all 10amps, but the guide says 15A for some of them. I'll change them to correct amps (my car came that way)

Here is how you test for continuity:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

See if the controller has its power and ground and if it still does not work the unit is bad. I would try to find a used one first and plug it in to see what happens. Here is the PGM FI relay locations below.
