White brake switch wire 3.4v when ignition switched to on position

I was wiring in a remote start. The white wire at the switch is reading 3.4v when the ignition is switch to on position but not running. Is that normal. The remote start module is reading it as brake signal and powering down in the startup process.

Hello, if you mean this White wire on the Brake Pedal Switch, no it should not be reading anything until the brakes are pressed. Then it should read battery voltage from Stop Lamp Fuse 25amp. If you're reading voltage on that white wire, the switch is most likely shorted out.
That wire ends up at the Throttle Actuator Control Module as a 12v input.
