Won’t go over 30 mph. Goes through 1, 2 and 3 okay, smooth never did any jerking or slipping there. I did check the fluid in neutral after I ran it in all the gears it was low added to needed level ran through gears again to make sure of no bubbles. I also never had a transmission heat light come on but I do have a check engine light on. I tried taking it to the auto part store to have it scanned but there not doing that due to coVid-19. To me it acts like it’s trying to go into 4th but it just revs up. Also it seems like to me the steering column doesn’t feel right right when I’m shifting it into gears but it feels like the problem is coming from the column it’s self. And it doesn’t ever lock the steering wheel when shutting of and sometimes it don’t read that its in park and I have to put it in neutral to start it. I didn’t know if it could have anything to do with the transmission acting up. Thanks

Good afternoon,

What you can try is to turn the ignition on and off 3 times in a row. Leave it on after the third time and the check engine light should start flashing.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/automatic-transmission-problems

The first code will be 12, that is one flash, pause, then 2 flashes. Then the code will flash.

Tell me the code that is set so I can help narrow the area of failure for you.

Yes. And to be sure you mean leave it in the on position on 3rd cycle, correct?

That is correct.

If that does not work, you will need a code reader or someone to read them for you.

I need to see what the ECM is faulting here to help you.

Okay, the 753 is for 3-4 shift solenoid circuit. I attached the flow chart below. You will need a voltmeter to do some wiring testing as this code indicates a wiring harness issue.

The 545 is for the AC clutch circuit.
