Transmission shifting hard?

My transmission is shifting very hard. I have already serviced it. I have been told it could be the shift solenoid. Wondering what you thought.

Good evening,

Yes, it could be a solenoid but before I would say yes, I would change the oil/filter in the transmission to be sure dirt is not restricting the valve in the valve body.

I need to know which transmission you have.

Is it a C6 or E4OD?

There should be a tag on the side.

They do not show any pictures of the solenoids but they are on the valve body. There are two shift solenoids and a torque converter solenoid.

You could try changing them but I doubt it will help.

Then the transmission will have to be removed and disassembled for inspection.
