Transmission occasionally shifts hard

Vehicle shift hard occasionally but lately it has been shifting to neutral at highway speeds. I recently purchased the truck and I checked the transmission fluid it seems overfull and it is a little bubbly at the top.

Sounds like it is getting air in system. Make sure fluid is the correct kind which should be Mercon. You might have a problem with range selector so get it scanned for codes. See link:
