Power windows don't work from any switch location, but I do have power and ground to the driver's door module, the power locks as well as the power mirrors work fine just no window functions. I can't find any broken wires in the jams. Is it the driver's window control module? A new one is not cheap if it is not the problem, but I am at a loss. I have also verified power and ground to the plug on the passenger door jam. I saw in another post somewhere that this type of problem can be a short in the passenger side window switch but have not removed the door panel on the passenger side yet. Is this a possibility? Also, just FYI the driver and passenger wires in the jams have had previous repairs made and I have tried to reset the ECU, BCM by disconnecting the battery for a day then jumping the terminals together for 30 seconds prior to reconnecting them to the battery, in hopes of a reset fixing the problem. The only other thing is an airbag light on and a non working courtesy light below the dash, if those clues are helpful.

Hello,

The most common issue is broken wires in either door opening. Ensure that you inspect all wires on both front doors properly. Also inspect the previously repaired wires for new damage or breaks inside insulations.

A good video.

If the fuses and wiring are intact, then the most likely cause of failure will be the control panel.

Below please find the wiring diagram for the power windows to make the wiring tracing and checking easier.

Please let us know how you get along.

Cheers, Boris

Thank you for the diagrams and advice. One question that I have is about the yellow and violet wire connected to the BCM, should I have power in that wire to enable the door modules? I have seen someone post about putting a jumper from power to that wire to make it work and I have tried it, but it didn't change anything.

Hello,

According to the diagram below the violet/yellow wire at pin 24, connector C1, supplies the lift gate flip up switch

Have you inspected the wiring at the door openings?

Cheers, Boris
