You will have to determine if the motor is receiving both power and ground when you trigger the switch. If so, it will need a motor. If not, you will have to troubleshoot the rest of the circuit to determine why.

Windows passenger will not work and the locks need wire soldered.

Electrical solder from a hardware store get the small type in a tube. It is cheapest and works okay. You should also use shrink tube form auto parts to put around joint to protect it instead of tape. A match or a lighter will melt it.

I have an '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The power windows, locks, and mirrors have stopped working. There are no fuses, breakers or relays labeled for them in the interior fuse box or the power distribution center in the engine compartment. Can you locate them so I can check if they are blown?

Hey JACK T,

There is a window module located in the driver's door I would check first, Also here is a diagram showing where the fuse is in the PDC.

Please run some tests and get back to us so we can continue helping you.

Best, Ken

I am having issues with all four windows, the mirrors and locks. I found several wires severed in the driver and passenger door. We used shrinkage to repair them. I noticed a yellow and purple wire that did not seem to be connected to anything. The locks are working but the windows and mirrors are not. We checked the fuse box under the hood and driver's side but they were all good. Any ideas on what else it could be?

The yellow/violet wire is a data wire. It connects to the door module and sends the signals that make the windows and mirrors work. Find and repair the other end and they should work again.

Oh thank goodness. I was ready to tear apart my door panels and check everything again.
