My truck turns off while driving or will not start, randomly, a few times a month. I did a turn up and replaced the dist-cap and rotor and wires, a few months ago. Other than that, I have not tried fixing this issue, yet. 4 out of 5, the vehicle turns on fine and drives.

Hard to start sometimes. I have replace fuel pump and filter. Replace coil, ICM. It runs great for about a week, then it still shuts off while driving. Sometimes it will start back up after a few tries and sometime not. I also replace spark plugs and distributor cap. Help!

96 f-150 302 auto 100000+mi. Problem is- at 55 or more mph. Truck will sometimes quit running that is I watch the tach go to zero ck engine lt comes on, I m coasting. One or two seconds later engine starts back up by itself, down the road I go. Vehicle has many new parts-pcm, ign mod, ign coil, plugs, cap, rotor. The last time it set a code P0320 ign dist engine speed input circuit malfunction. It was at ford garage 4 days didn't do it for them. Anyone have any ideas?

Back from Ford garage in sept 16 out sept 25 replaced crank sensor/ign. Stator they told me it s odd that this vehicle has both, that maybe this happened during the middle of the model year? All I know is it puzzled the hell out of me. She seems to be running ok but I ve only had her back a few days, sure hope that it s cured. Thank you for your interest. Please keep this info in memory bank may need it sometime.

Alternator has been checked and is fine. Told her to start vehicle and turn on everything else electrical (radio, air conditioner, open door to turn on interior lights) that she can think of.

Thank you

Sis has been having too much trouble with her vehicles, so she traded in her Ford Van and Ford truck on a new van. Hopefully it will be more reliable. Even if we didn't get it fixed, we thank you for your time and trouble.
