For about a week when I drive my truck it felt like it needed a kick in the butt. I start it and sounded like it didn't have oil. But it does. So one day started it drove it for half hour, came home for fifteen minutes. Went to start and it turned over but did not start.
I replace the fuel pump relay. The ECM b fuse was blown so put new one in. Still would not start. I could not hear the fuel pump prime when I turned on key. But then by passed the relay and pump works.
I was told could n oil sending unit (pressure switch)?
I'm kind of lost about that.
I need some ideas or answers.
Please

Good morning,

You need to do a manual test of the fuel pump to see if it is providing any pressure.

I attached a wire diagram as well for you to view. the oil pressure switch was for the older models.

Okay, now you need to find out why with the wiring diagram.

You need to go to the relay and remove it and test for voltage as in the diagram I sent you.

No, this is a manual check. A scan tool is not going to tell you the issue.

What do you mean to tells you short to ground? Was there a code?

Was there a code for the airbag system?

The light comes on when there is a fault detected. There are about 100 possibilities for this issue. That's why I need a code. Just because the light is on does not mean there is a short to ground.

You can have a parts store read the code for you for free. Once I know the code I can help you further.
