Hello everyone.I have the truck listed above with a 460.
I change 2 fuel pumps and the hole distributor. Now it does not want to start it just misfires like, so I got a coil and still the same.I have lots of gas going in. It sounds like it want to start but it's just misfiring. So I wonder if it could be the ignition switch?I really don't no what else to do.

Good morning,

This could be from injectors that are are not flowing fuel or enough fuel into the engine from being clogged. There is no additive that will clean them. With the age of the truck, they may have to be replaced. I attached the procedure below for removing the fuel manifold for you.

Also, I attached the wiring diagram for you as well for the ignition system. With the key in the on position, check the voltage at the positive side of the coil for battery voltage.

Good morning.I even put fuel in the card and it still does not start.I just got a brand new coil and still yet.I do not know what else to do.I pretty much put everything brand new; fuel pump, two of them, brand new distributor, brand new coil, and it does not want to run. Even if I poor gas in the carburetor it wants to start but pop a little. I checked the fuel leader and it has a lot of pressure.

Okay, did you verify voltage to the coil as I suggested in the previous post?

I would also check the compression to be sure the timing is correct. You should have 140 -160 pounds.

What is the compression?

What is the voltage at the coil that I requested?

It's 150 compression. Never check the coil yet.

Let us cross one bridge at a time. I still need results on voltage checks to determine the reason for this not running.

It should come from the ignition switch to the MSD box. Did you verify this?
