My truck is emitting white colored smoke

It also has a pretty severe shake especially idling. Lifter problem or not?

Hi,

White smoke usually indicates that coolant is entering the combustion chamber and burning with the fuel. This is usually the result of a faulty head gasket.

Has the coolant level been getting low? Is there any indication of the coolant mixing with the engine oil?
