2007 Chevrolet Silverado white smoke

There is white smoke coming from the tail pipe, but it doesn't do it all the time, doesn't run hot. Had it checked out but they couldn't fine anything. Would you please give me a reason or reason"s why it is doing that. Thank you.

White smoke is generally the result of coolant being burned in the combustion chamber for some reason. I would pressure test the cooling system to see if it is holding pressure.
