I purchased an aftermarket steering wheel and install a hub over the clock-spring. The horn needs two leads to connect to it. The ground wire is already set, but the only other wires left on the clock-spring are the two plug ins for the airbags.

Good morning,

I attached a wiring diagram for you of the horn. The light green wire is the wire from the body control module that you need. Check out the images (Below). Please let us know how it goes

One more question if you don't mind. I have a resister to trick the airbag light to go off. Where would I find the connector under the dash to feed the resister to, or can it be done from the 2 airbag wires on the clockspring.

It can be done at the clock spring.

Roy, there is no light green wire for the horn coming from the clock spring. Only the plugs that go to the airbag which when I put the resistors in both of them, my airbag light finally went out. What I missing here? Thank you

Can you post some pictures of the clock spring connections? I need to see the one from the body to the clock spring.

Got it. I need to see the other side of the clock spring. That is where the color you need comes in.

Roy, on the top rear of the clock spring there is a light green wire with a white strip. I also provided a pic of the rear bottom connection.

The light green with the white strip is the one.

Use an ohm meter to determine the output wire on the other side.

I tapped into the green and white wire and touched it to the steering column, which should set the horn off. I got nothing. I had to buckle it up because I have to go to work. What you said should've worked. I don't get it. I'll be in touch at a later time. Thanks Roy.

Good morning Roy. I'm not going to work on the horn again today because I am waiting on a quick release adapter and only want to disassemble this one more time. If I should get that light green wire to trigger to the horn, it is connected to the back of the clock spring and does not spin, therefore any extension wire to it going to the horn button will twist around the steering wheel. When I removed the stock wheel, other than the airbag connections, there was only one other plug with with many pins that I had to disconnect to pull the wheel off. You can see it in one of the past pics I sent you of the front of the clock spring. That plug did not have that light green wire. The horn signal must have been sent through one of these plugs and once again the only two plugs in the back of the horn were for the airbag. This is why it's all confusing to me. The horn needs to be connected to something that rotates with the clock spring. I truly appreciate all your help on this and hopefully we can come up with a solution. I can't find a diagram anywhere of what the pins (color codes) go to on the clock spring connections that rotate with it. I can always clip off the existing plug attached to the stock wheel to plug into the clock spring if one of the leads go to the horn, although I doubt it because I think it's for the audio and cruise control buttons.
Thankyou, Rob.

I bought an aftermarket steering wheel and need to connect the horn. The ground is self explanatory, but I don't know where the lead is coming from the clock spring for the signal. I know that behind the clock spring the horn signal wire is the light green one, but that doesn't rotate with the clockspring. The only 2 wires left on the clock spring after removing the stock wheel are the 2 airbag connectors which each contain 2 wires each in them. Being that the horn is in the airbag, would one of those 4 wires be for the horn signal. I've been trying to figure this out for days and don't care for driving without a working horn.

Good morning

It is Roy again.

The light green wire that is at the connector for the airbag, does it have power with the key on? If you looked in the diagram I sent you, it comes from the body control module and when it sees it grounded, it will set off the horn.

As far as the wire to the clock spring, you will need to ohm out the pin in the clock spring for the light green wire and find out which wire it goes to on the other side.
