Engine Cooling problem
1999 Ford Expedition V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

I am changing the radiator in this vehicle. The only place to refill the radiator is through the resevior. Is there any chance of the engine overheating before the radiator fills up? Am I missing something?

IF you are concerned about it, remove the thermostat and fill the block through there, and disconnect the overflow and use a funnel to fill the radiator. After that, monitor the temp and coolant level through the overflow.
