Whirring noise, as I release clutch and shift into second and third. Noise stops soon after.

Good evening.

Is the noise only when you push in the clutch?

Okay, thanks.

You need a throw-out bearing in the clutch assembly. There is a bearing in the assembly and when it wears out, it will make noise only when you apply pressure to the bearing.

If you replace that, then you should replace the pressure plate and disc as well.
