What I have is a problum with a 95 chev truck. We just replaced the motor in this truck. The problum we are having is when battery is hooked up we have partial power to things that normally have power with ignition on, sutch as blinkers, coil, guages have power to them, oil pressure switch has power. All thease items have power with the ignition in the off position (keys not even in).

Ignition switch has been replaced and problum still exists.

We are thinking that if we start this truck with the coil having power we will not be able to shut the truck off since thease items are hot with out key on.
When we were setting the distributer up got shocked with ignition off is how we found out the coil was hot.

Found out the problum. SOMEONE acidentaly hooked up the hood light plug to the egr switch. Same color plug, perfect fit. Do not try this at home. Switched plugs and had no problum. Just thought I would share our misshap with you incase some one else has same problum.
