When I was younger I had an s10 blazer that was doing that, it turned out to be a cut out switch.

In my 94 it was either on the filter drier or on the ac line itself

the only other switch I know of is mounted on the compressor itself.

But if it was me id probally start checking on those 2 switches

Alright! First off turn on the ac setting and turn the air from hot and slowly go all the way to cold. Make sure you do this with the engine hot.

Does air coming out of the vents change from very hot to outside air temp or is there hardly any temp change at all

I have a 4.3 L Chevy Blazer 1998. When you start the engine the heating and air "fight" with eachother and something under the dash pocket makes an odd squeaking sound. If you pull the fuses out that make the heat/ac work it blows HOT air constantly through the vents. I'm desperate as it's summer time in the south.

Sounds liek the blend door actuator is going out. Try removing the covers under the dash on the pass side to see if you can locate where the noise is coming from. If it is the actuator, try unplugging it and see if it will keep the door in the cool postion

When it comes to AC system few thing need to be checked
you have to make sure belt is in a good condition and not slipping off the compressor
you may have to evacuate the system and replace filter and add the correct amount of oil and 134A gas
to much gas or low it will effect the degree
what do you have on the low side for pressure
also check and make sure coolant and operation of coolant fan
good luck

Check the HVAC fuse in the drivers side of the dash. It will be between the side of the dash and the door. Sounds like fuse is blown and it went into default mode.

One of the vents is not closing. You need to find out if all the doors are closing in the off mode. If not, then it gets tricky to find the vent door and why.

I have had the Compressor, Condensor and both lines replaced in the 97 Blazer, but no matter what the mechanics cannot find a problem. Would appreciate any suggestions as there is no leaks, two new condensors (as we trhought the first was faulty). Mechanic doing their best as they are not charging me but would like to know any advice.

My a/c is blowing warm. My compressor clutch is engaging when on high and max cool. Air blows through all vents and system is charged at 40-45 psi. The clutch makes a louder noise when spinning but engaging.
