Welcome to 2CarPros. Could I ask a couple of questions to clarify the question. You say it smokes in hot areas, do you mean it only smokes if the outside temperature is hot and it doesn't smoke when it's a colder day? What color is the smoke and does it smoke all the time or only on initial start or throttle application? Has the engine ever overheated or run hot?

Yes, it smokes in hot areas but it doesn't in cold areas. The smokes color is white. It smokes all the time on hot areas. Yes the engine has overheated.

Okay, that would indicate that it is burning coolant. Likely it is a head gasket starting to fail. A coolant system pressure test might show the problem if done on a hot day. Another test would be a combustion gas test. This will give you an idea of the tests, you can generally get the tools as loaner tools at the chain parts stores like AutoZone or Advance.
