A/C clutch stays engaged but no cooling. And no hot high pressure or cold low pressure lines with feel.

That is not a good sign. The first thing you need to do is use a set of professional gauges and record high and low pressures both at idle and at 2,000 rpm. We can go from there but there are many, many factors that are taken into consideration is diagnosing an AC system.

I have had several mechanics tell me different things on why my a/c keeps blowing fuses. When the truck is in park and idling, it works ok. Sometimes, when I put it in drive, it blows the fuse. Also, sometimes it doesn't blow the fuse when I put it in drive, but when I drive about 1/4 mile, it blows. I tried to put a larger fuse in (20 instead of 10 amp) it still blows. Some mechanics say its the compressor (very expensive) or the a/c clutch, or a wiring short. I don't think the compressor would be the problem because I can sit and idle for hours and it works fine. I also checked through all the wiring and its seems fine. What do you think it may be?

I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.8L. I have the exact same problem I took it to the dealer and they replaced the AC compressor for $760.00 all fixed. They said the clutch coil has shorted out.

I found this guide I should have done it myself.
