While driving the engine stalled won't even start up at all?

My van just died and won't start up. No power will go through or power to the motor at all

If you lost all electrical power to the starter and other things, check the battery, check battery cables, check alt.

Thanks for the guides I found out he battery was shorted out stalling he engine I got a new one and all fixed! I love this site.

While I am driving the vehicle shuts down. I have to put it into Neutral and start it back up. This started 6 months ago and it only happened here and there. One month ago it happened a little more frequently and last week it happened everyday at least 2 to 3 times a day. What could this be.

Did you get your ignition switch changed out by the dealer? There was a recall for this very problem on that very vehicle for this problem. If it hasn't been done, call the dealer and make an appointment to have the ignition switch changed out as per the recall.

I have the van listed above Touring model. The vehicle will stall out then takes several tries before it starts back up. This usually happens when coming to a stop at a stop Sign or red light. The engine will just idle down then turn off. I am getting error codes for the O2 sensors but I am told that will not make it stall. I cleaned the Air Intake and rev'd the engine up a few times. I notice a sucking sound coming from the Air Intake under the hood when I let off the accelerator and the RPM's drop.

Today after I restarted it the engine ran hot and as I was pulling off the road for a test drive the temperature dropped back down to operating range. Upon getting home I saw the Coolant reservoir was empty.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

So far I have been unable to find a Vacuum Leak, It was the Throttle Actuator that I had cleaned. I am waiting on a new idle air control motor to arrive so I can test that.

More info on the stalling. It only stalls after having been driven for a while. I have let it sit idling in the yard for 45 minutes while I was checking the various vacuum lines and it did not stall. When I took it for a test drive it stalled as soon as I stopped at a stop sign.

Update: The Intake Actuator replacement arrived today. I replaced it did a road test. Stalled out when I hit an off ramp. The temperature was flat the entire ride(new Water Pumps and Thermostat) but when I turned the key to check the gauges (without trying to start the Van) it the Temperature was reading as high as it could go. I sat there for 45 minutes periodically checking the temperature(and playing Solitaire on my phone to stave off boredom). Within a 5 minute time span the needle instantly went from maxed out to mid-range where it normally operates at.

Drove it home after it started and it did not heat up once. Even did a few restarts in the yard. I am wondering if there is not a temperature sensor that is messing up.

Will update if anything else happens.

Replaced the Coolant Sensor and ran through the list you provided me earlier. The van now will Idle fine though a little rough because of a bad HO2 sensor until you drive it. After being driven the Idle just drops to zero, then van can be immediately restarted. Idles fine, but after being driven the idle drops to zero when slowing down or stopping.

I have seen oxygen sensors make the engine stall when the heater shorts out and that is what this code is for.

Error Code P0032: HO2S Heater Control Circuit High, Bank 1 Sensor 1

Are both o2 sensors for this model heated or just the bank 1 sensor 1? I am trying to find the replacements for it.

I have replaced Both O2 Sensors and the problem improved. The idle speed is low and it will still idle down and stall. The check engine light is Off now. So the Sensors were the only thing causing that. I do not know what else to try.

The stalls are fixed now I am getting what I think are false overheats.

I went to a gas station and the van was at operating temp when I parked. Got back into the van and it was red lining overheated.

I noticed this before and replaced the coolant temperature sensor

After coasting down the road and then turning it on the temp went back to normal operating range.

I am confused.
