Having the same problem and checked everything in the above narrative, even disconnected the main ground all together and can't get the car to stall.

Hilman, does the wire in the image above under the thumb get warm or hot in your vehicle? Does the plastic body look damaged at all?

Yes, it did get slightly warm but the plastic body did not look damaged at all.

Ok. That heat is caused by resistance in the connection. IT hasn't gotten bad enough or been going on long enough to damage the connector body YET.

Thanks for your advice. I was just out there wiggling the wire and I could get it to stall if I moved it to a certain position. How do I change out the connector body.

This is one I haven't done before. I will ask the original expert that posted in here to pop in and give some advice.

Normally I would just recommend making the mechanical/electrical connection stronger, through soldering.
