Did you replace the entire module or just the pump?

The in-tank lift pump came from an x reg escort and was working perfectly. I have put it into my r reg escort and is constantly registering full. When I take it out and work the float manually the guage seems to be working in reverse (when float is at empty guage shows full & when float is at full guage shows empty). Is it possible to bridge wiring?

Nope, different units. You need the correct sender to make this work.
Can you change just the pump from the donor to yours?

It does but in most cases, the plastic clips break if your not carefull.
I would try to get the right unit with matching numbers.
