This can be tricky and we don't have any directions or diagrams for it. There are a few things that hold trim pieces in. Plastic retainers and screws. Sometimes the screws are hidden behind plastic covers. The main thing is to have patience and work slowly. Look for screws and then pry gently for tabs to let trim pieces free. Doing this on older cars without cracking something will be really lucky. So be gentle and take your time. If something does not want to come out, then look for a retaining screw. Usually you want to work from bottom to top.
