Finally got it, needed to bend the linkage of the choke, took I little while to dial it in, replaced any vacuum lines that looked suspect and then bent the electronic choke unti I had about 1/8 inch gap at the choke plate. Fires up and runs great. Set timing to 8 degrees but Ike the performance better at 9.3.
Sorry you had to attend a funeral today, there is nothing good about the loss of a loved one, and from lots of experience only time can heal the pain. I will be praying for your loved ones.

I didn't realize that the proper procedure was to bend something in a new carb to get the auto choke set. It was in a section of the childon manual, I read last night but didn't, think was accurate.
