It has been down for three years. It has new heads, new battery, new radiator, PVC valve, and gas tank taken down and cleaned and new gas put in. The timing belt has been replaced and set right. It tries to start but doesn't. We have also changed the MAP sensor.

If this has been down for three years, we need to focus first on the fuel.

If you have fresh fuel, then we need to move onto the fuel pressure.

Then we need to use starter fluid in the intake and find out if it starts for a second or two.

If it doesn't start, then we need to pull the plugs and find out if they are fouled.

If they are old plugs or have been soaked, then they will not start so we need to change the plugs and retest.

I am attaching the chart below that will help with this.

Please let me know what you find with this, and we will get this figured out.

Thanks

Okay. Let's spray starter fluid in the intake and see if the engine will start or not. If not, then we need to check for spark.

If you have spark, then the last thing, we need to check is compression.

Let's run through these three things and go from there.

Thanks
