The engine will crank but will not start. We have changed the fuel filter, checked fuses. Also, the muffler keeps getting blown off after we get it started, but we put it back on. We cannot get it started again but if we take the muffler off it still will not start for several hours. We have removed the catalytic converter. Still will not start. All wires seem fine. Spark is coming from coil pack. So we have no clue what is going on.

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Having spark from coil is good, do you have spark at the plugs? Use a gauge and check proper fuel pressure, my information says 35--45 psi, so if your in the middle somewhere, you should be fine. I would also check fuel injector pulse. Fuel--spark--compression, proper amounts at the proper time.

Check to see if you have fuel pressure. Also, verify you have fuel if no pressure. Sometimes the fuel gauge will not work properly?
