When cold engine will start, after running a very small amount and stopping the engine, the starter will turn the engine strongly, with absolutely no attempt at starting. After letting it sit for a while, sometimes longer, it usually. Starts just as quick as it is stopped, no restart for a while.

Good morning.

When it does not start, have you checked for spark and if you hear the fuel pump coming on?

One of them is missing if it will not run.

I would check the fuel pressure when it will not start and also check for spark to the plugs.
