Not going to lie I was going 90 down the road, and I already knew I probably had a transmission leak. Well, going to the funeral my car wouldn't let me press the gas pedal, it started slowing down. I got it to the side of the road turned it off then started it again, finally got it to the closest school. And let it sit. I got back on the road again and it did the same thing but this time my brake locked up. Had a school officer help me off to the side of the road. Got it towed back to the house. My step dad got it cranked up and he said there was a ticking sound coming either from the front of the transmission or the engine but there was black smoke that came out of the back.

Hello,

Black smoke coming out of your vehicle's exhaust is a sign that too much fuel is being burnt in your vehicle's engines combustion chambers. Here is a link to a guide explaining this a little better below:

Is your vehicle's Malfunction Indicator Lamp[MIL] or "check engine" lamp illuminated?

Thanks,
Alex

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response.
