Pulled in a parking spot, would not go in reverse or drive, just second. Had to have it pushed backwards. Drove it home in second. Pulled in, reverse started working again. Went in drive. Let it sit awhile. Will not go in drive or reverse again. Is it a part or transmission?

Good evening.

The first thing I would do is check the fluid. Make sure it is full and a nice red in color.

The filter in the transmission may be clogged causing this condition. Dropping the pan and inspect the filter for debris on it and see how heavy it is. A common issue for that condition.

Beyond that it could be internal issues but need to do basics first.
