1993 Toyota Celica clutch

I recently replaced the stock clutch with a performance one. I put 700 miles on the new clutch with no problem. The other day I started the car and the clutch stayed on the floor. I replaced the slave cylinder gravity bled it as I was instructed and still have the same problem. If you lift the pedal off the floor and press it in it works. But doesnt return on its own. Also if you push in the clutch with the car in gear after about 20 seconds it engages.
