After changing the timing it ran for approximately 35 minutes and upon getting off the exit ramp I slowed to a stop and when I attempted to accelerate it shut off and hasn't started since.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

The first thing we need to check is if the engine is getting spark and fuel. Take a look through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-cranks-but-wont-start

Here are a couple links for checking fuel pressure and for ignition spark:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-an-ignition-system

To make it really easy, see if the engine starts for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does, then it is a fuel related issue. If it still doesn't start, then it is most likely related to an ignition problem.

Let me know.
