Only starts if I prime it

Was running on propane I removed the propane and now it starts and runs fine as long as you prime it. If you turn it off and let it sit it will not start and run without priming it with fuel.

There are many things that can cause this problem one of them it might be coolant temperature sensor sending wrong information to engine control unit, during engine start injectors must spray more fuel for cold start.

As a first step check engine fault codes.
