Engine will not start

1997. I can get the truck to start by pouring gas in to the intake and then the truck will run all day. I just can not get it started without pouring gas into the intake. The engine will turn over it just will not start.

Check and test the fuel pump relay and fuel pump and oil pressure sending unit-also check the fuel pressure if its within specs-

Had one like this that was the distributor pick up. The computer sees this signal for the first 200rpm and then ignores it after that. If it does not see the signal, it will not turn on the fuel pump.
