1997 Chevy S-10 1997 s- 10 will not start

1997 S-10 will not start engine will turn over and there is not lights on on the insturment cluster when the key is turned on have checked the ignition modual it was found to be ok.

If the dash isnt lighting up, first use a test light to check every fuse in the vehicle. If all good, you may have a faulty ignition switch (electrical) not the actual key tumbler

If I remember correctly you will need a long philips screwdriver and possibly a long Torx driver. If you remove the covers on the steering column, you should be able to see the ign switch on the opposite side of the key tumbler on the column
