P1811 transmission code

The car shifts fine sometimes but other times it shifts hard and then jerks a little bit. A mechanic said my transmission is going out, so I have no clue. Anything helps? Thank you.

1811 means long shifts between gears. Have a transmission professional look at this as it may be low line pressure or sticky valve body. If it continues it will need a rebuild.
