I advanced the distributor on my truck and it started once but now it will not start. It just makes a clicking noise. I tried advancing back but still makes clicking noise the battery is good. Do you think the starter went bad? I tried tapping on it and still did not work. By advancing the distributor will it cause a clicking sound?

Hello, I am Danny.

No, the distributor being moved would not cause that. Sounds like the starter solenoid is failing/broken. I have attached a link showing you how to remove/replace the starter. Once removed you can take it to your local auto parts store and they will test it for free. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
