No power to fuel pump

Danny,

Yes, I located the fuel pump relay and the Fuel Pump Control Module behind the kick panel, but remember I told you I had to replace the wiring harness because the original harness was bad, so when I got the harness installed I had plugs for everything behind the kick panel except the Fuel Pump Control Module, everything else plugged in fine, I've pulled the harness out and there is no plug there for the FPCM, So what I was asking is if maybe this harness does not include a circuit for the FPCM, if it is wired directly from the fuel pump relay to the fuel pump, sorry not trying to be complicated this is a unusual issue. Thanks

Hello again.

Okay, I understand now. Have you thought about getting the correct harness from your local wrecking yard? Also, can you look on the under hood engine/manufacturers emissions label? I want to see if you have a California certification or if it's just Federal. I will say "This vehicle complies/conforms with California emissions requirements" or something like that. It helps me determine which wiring diagrams to look at. Thanks.

Danny,

Yes, I have considered I might have to change the harness again, but I was hoping this one would work. So I will check the emissions label in the morning and I will let you know. Thanks

Hello again.

I looked at a Montero Sport and they come with a 3.0 liter motor and a 3.5L. Couldn't find a fuel pump control module on the 3.0L application. That might be what that harness is far. Will look more into it tomorrow. Again thanks for using 2CarPros. Happy 2019.

Hey Danny,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. So I looked at the emissions and it says "conforms to all U.S. Emissions requirements". Thanks again.

Hello again.

Okay, that looks to be just Federal emissions not including CA. I'll look again at the wiring diagrams and get back to you.

Hello again.

The thing I've noticed looking through the wiring diagrams on a 3.0L the fuel pump control module only has four wires and on the 3.5L it's five wires.I'm still looking to find where this harness goes.
