Hi there from Brighton,UK

So I had a loose (not working ) light bulb in the front interior light.

After fiddling with it myself ,I saw that it actually still works but I now seemed to have made an electrical short or something.

The alarm went off briefly, now all 5 interior lights are not currently working and a door indicator is showing as "open",even when all the doors (and boot/trunk) are definitely closed.

When I try and lock all the doors from inside the car with the door locking switch, this now goes "beep" and the doors won't lock this way from inside.

However, the doors lock and unlock normally with the key remote.

Just bought this vehicle a week ago and I see there is also no fuse box cover/lid (with the relevant diagram for the fuses).

OOPS :-D !

* So there is another fuse box under the bonnet/hood ,do I need to check here also or check the relay?

Or will disconnecting the negative cable on the car battery or checking out the alarm fuse be of any use to me?

Best regards and many thanks.

Vincent

Welcome to 2CarPros.

First, I have to explain that I don't have the information for this specific vehicle. It isn't offered in the US. As far as the problem, it sounds like you have an issue with a fuse. If you shorted something, it would have blown a fuse.

Yes, to the best of my knowledge, this vehicle has a fuse box both in the vehicle and under the hood. If I had to guess, I would say the fuse for the interior would be in the vehicle and not under the hood, but anything is possible.

Here are a few links you may find helpful when checking:

Let me know if any of this helps.
