Misfires and struggles when trying to accelerate

The truck it accelerates but only lightly touching the pedal when I try to accelerate faster it misfires and struggles to do so often losing power cutting in and out like it is starving for fuel.

Well as a starting point I would have a shop do a scan on it to see if it is setting any codes, then do a fuel pressure test and check for any vacuum leaks as a lean condition could cause both problems. You can usually rent/borrow a pressure test kit from a parts store to run the test.
