Turn key starter turns engine over for four seconds slowly comes to life I step on throttle and it feels as though its flooded for a moment. Then all catches up to speed an it runs great. Sometimes I can smell raw gas on start up. Once in a while after the truck has sat over night and has not been fired up that morning. Walking by I smelt raw gas but saw no leakage?

Hey Mark,

I would check the fuel pressure regulator because is sounds like the diaphragm is blown, here is a guide that will help you.
