Engine cuts out

When you step on the gas the car will jerk, maybe once or maybe three or four times. It is like the engine cuts off for a second. It rarely happens with a full tank of gas. The lower the gas gauge the more jerking. Also with the faster you accelerate.

Good afternoon.

One thing I would check is the fuel pressure. You need to be sure sufficient pressure is being delivered to the injectors.

Also, it could be spark. when this happens, does the tachometer jump up and down when it is jerking? Crank sensors are very common for this issue.

Are there any codes stored?
